Met with Paul, explained the turning radius problem with the proposed Plan for Modification of FD access from what was shown on issued/approved plan set. Apparently the roadway was erroneously shown on the approved plans and the inspector required a plan resubmittal to approve the actual roadway. The roadway as shown on the Modification plan lacks required turning radius. Explained what is required to Paul and gave him one plan with the required roadway turning radius penciled in for him. An option to removing part of existing curb and widening the roadway, is to re-design the roadway in any manner which meets the FD roadway requirements. He will review and resubmit revised plans. This project cannot be finaled until an approved modified plan is issued for field verification by the Fire inspector.

Plan modification dropped off 11/09 at request of FI, for approval of the modified FD access roadway which was changed in the field from the approved plans. The changed roadway does not provide required turning radius at one turn near the northern exit. Called Paul (primary contact), who dropped plans off at front desk; left voice message to call me do discuss the problem. Need to resubmit a modified plan.
