(THE MILKYWAY RESTAURANT - EMPIRE BLDG - STE 110 - MEZZANINE) This building is fire sprinklered under the provisions of the 1994 UCBC because it is too tall, too big, and has too many stories. To expand the mezzanine area of an existing restaurant into an adjacent 350 square foot area. After the expansion, there will be two dining rooms located on the mezzanine. One dining room with an occupant load of 23 and the other dining room will have an occupant load of 41. The total floor area of the mezzanine used for dining will be about 1,020 square feet. The 440 square foot storage/display part of the mezzanine is NOT being altered. The total mezzanine area used by this tenant will be about 1,460 square feet. Two other tenants in this building use other portions of the mezzanine. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, a new doorway without a door, a new doorway with a relocated door, a new floor finish, and a wall infill all per the approved drawings and the plan review report on file. Within the remodel area, fire sprinkler heads shall be located or relocated to comply with NFPA 13-2002 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
