Telcon with Randy Sycamora, ADT who is to provide the alarm monitoring for Bledsoe and Rick Jackson, Allied General (3.24) who provides monitoring for Shakespeare and the site fire pump. Bledsoe shall provide their own FACP monitoring the outside PIV on Wise, which serves their building and all other sprinkler valves and flow switches required for the sprinkler system to be installed in Bledsoe, and including any HVAC duct smoke detectors, etc. The Shakespeare FACP provides pump monitoring and will need to remove the exisitng flow switch at the discharge of the fire pump and be sure the "pump running" signal is a supervisory, not an alarm signal. This will allow Bledsoe to test their system without creating an alarm signal at Shakespeare which would result in rolling the FD. It will also preserve the required fire pump monitoring and all related contral valve monitoring per 72 and 20 which will be done solely by Shakespeare's FACP. The fire pump arrangement was initially approved by the county when both buildings were part of the same facility. It has since been divided into two separate properties creating this problem of how to divide responsibility for FP monitoring and avoid duplicate alarm signals to the FD.
