TONY- Check your box for the paper work approving the use og staples, 36 guage used 1 7/8 inches long. Gave ok to cover based on what contractor noted and noting that the patern was still over what he had noted. Paper work should be faxed by 8-19-05. Also had paper work on site.

Approved without fire sprinklers based on the following repsonse from Dave Miller. "The Fire Department finds that the water supply and access requirements stipulated for this project by the direction of Council appear to have been sufficiently satisfied for Fire to issue a preliminary approval. Therefore, Fire has no objection to the plat being finalized or to building construction permits being processed. Please note that the final acceptance of fire hydrants and any unfinished or temporary features is not possible at this time. In the interest of customer service however the fire department can issue this preliminary approval. Please note that this preliminary approval applies only to water supply and access requirements of the IFC. The requirements of other City departments, codes, permits, and ordinances (including the IFC) may not yet be completely satisfied. Specific items for which final approval has not been issued include, but are not limited to, temporary street signs; temporary access roads; actual building construction type, code requirements, and area; and hydrant depth and clearance as may be affected by landscaping."

1/31/05 - emai from Dave Miller : "I just met with an architect on a proposed house for this lot. There are several problems. First there appears to be a non-build agreement on Lots 1 & 3 which has not yet been released. Second, there is no SAT memo for Lots 2 & 4. Lastly, the aforementioned house shows a sub standard fire access lane. The applicant's choices are to make the driveway 20 ft wide along the entire length and expand the turnaround to fire code standards; or fire sprinkler the house. Of course, these choices are mute until the SUB conditions of issuing a SAT memo and releasing the non-build are satisfied."
