Meeting  4/21/2005 DONE
Meeting with Renn Ross. He wants all items on correction notice except door replacement to be done by Friday afternoon. Fire cannot allow another Friday night crowd without these basic life safety deficiencies corrected. Agrees they need some type of acceptable means of egress to use the mechanical space above the cooler for dry goods storage due to frequent occupancy by staff; they can provide this, along with replacing the kitchen door, within a couple of weeks to accommodate work schedules.
Meeting  4/21/2005 DONE
Met with David Eisenhauer, owner/partner. Reviewed each item on correction list. Explained the life safety hazard each of these deficiencies create and why Fire must require these items to be corrected before the next Friday night event. He agreed to have all items on correction list except #2 corrected and satisfactorily inspected by 4pm tomorrow (4/22) and understands Fire cannot allow them to be open after 4pm tomorrow if these items are not satisfactorily corrected. They are using the compressor space above the cooler for dry goods, smocks, towels, personal coats and misc storage; storage is to the ceiling. He indicated they plan to provide a fixed fire-escape-type ladder for access/egress. I agreed to allow until May 13 (3 weeks) for this ladder installation and the kitchen door replacement to be completed. They will maintain storage 18" below level of sprinkler heads.
