Customer added opening from a shop/garage directly into a room used for sleeping purposes. Section R309.1 (Opening Protection) and R309.2 (Seperation required) explained to Home Owner. Home owner then instructed to remove opening (DOOR) and to sheetrock opening to comply with 2003 Residential Code. (SRZ)

Home owner called and said he is changing shop/garage to a storage only room and changeing out O.H. garage door to a french door to meet 2003 Residential Code. I'm waiting to modify Approved building permit until home owner calls and let's me know the specifics on the new French door. (SRZ)
