RCE 8288 - Shelubay construction (MORNING STAR PENTECOSTAL CHURCH) This building is NOT fire sprinklered. To remodel an existing 10,673 square foot church building (5,802 square foot 1st story and 4,871 square foot basement). Work is to include a wheelchair lift, 3 restrooms accessible to the disabled, a new exterior exit stairway from the basement, suspended ceilings, and finishes. In addition, a 40 square foot building addition will be provided at the top of an existing basement stairway to accommodate the stairway landing. Structural work includes additional floor joists, beams, headers, columns, concrete footings, and a masonry wall. Boris just needed occupancy for the upstairs area which was going to be alowed per a previous agreement with dave hanniman. Life safety items are ok upstairs except for the exit signs and emergency lights that need to be installed and or repaired. I told boris I could not give him a sign off on the upstairs portion until these items were done.

I went over fire extinguisher, exit lights and emergency light placement with Bill. Also discussed was door hardware issues and exit discharge light issues. Per Carl Westfalls and I's discussion exit discharge lights will be required at both of the stairways from the basement.
