RE: BLD06-00470 Spoke with Lynn Brown. Spent about 45 minutes going over every conceivable possibility of access from all sides and nothing works. So he finally sees the need to look into the sprinkler option. He says the front building is sprinklered with a main coming to the back corner, and the control valve is on the side of the house, so it may be possible to tap into that main (upstream of the sprinkler control valve for the house) and put a second riser on it, to supply sprinklers in the rear building. That would put two buildings on one UG main but that isn't against Code; they each have separate control valves and these are very small anyway. I told him to check into that option with United Water and a sprinkler contractor. So hopefully that will be the answer.

Met with Dave Hanneman regarding non compliant fire department access to the proposed building. Dave Hannemans position is that the proposed building must be fully fire sprinklered .
