This project in the R1CH zoning district is approved through DRH-00145 by Julie Archambeault, is for an extensive remodel and upper level addition. The project is to may include a new stairway from the basement through to the upper level. If the stairs are not constructed the existing stairs are approved as is as long as there is no modification to same. If they are modified they must comply with the 2003 IRC. The project will include the remodel of the basement. if the existing stair is removed a new code complying egress must be installed. The main level addition will include the conversion of the master bedroom and bedroom #2 and the bathroom into a new master suite and powder room; a new island in the kitchen with the new stair eliminating bedroom #1; new window configuration in the front wall of the living room with entry door relocation. The upper level will be expanded including a full floor system and new exterior wall framing and new roofing system. Engineering calculations for the steel beams in the floor system will be supplied to the structural inspection prior to the start of the floor and roof framing.
