Received revised water tank piping sketch (81/2"x11") dated 5-29-08 submitted by Patick McKeegan, showing a high level domestic water discharge pipe, at 12.89' elevation, thereby reserving the lower 45,000 gallon portion for fire use only. Plans also specify fire alarm supervisory monitoring of: 1) water level at 12" below the domestic discharge outlet, 2) tank water temperature set at 40F, and 3) valve tamper on tank discharge PIV. No fire alarm permit exists at the current time. Doc attached.

telcon from Gregg Hayes, Proj Mgr with Saucerman Const. ###-#### with questions regarding fire tank submittal. I explained tank design and installation needs to meet NFPA 22 and water supply (an existing well pump) needs to meet NFPA 20 design aspects at least in principle including verification of adequacy of aquifer capacity. Tank and associated piping design plans (relative to NFPA 20 and 22) need to be stamped by a State licensed engineer qualified in fire protection design. I recommended he check with State Fire Marshal regarding State requirements for Fire Protection Contractors to see if it pertains to fire tank and associated fire protection piping installation work.
