A conference was held between Jason Blais, Jim Storey, and myself to evaluate Scott Soule's Final Structural Letter (Attached to BLD11-01031) we will accept it with the understanding that Scott Soule's instructions of continual maintenance will be followed through with. If we come to find that maintenance is not be done and the issues begin to reappear we will reevaluate this decision and possibly pull the Certificate of Occupancy. TLW

The group walked the underground parking garage and discussed structural issues and water remediation needing to occur. R105.5 Expiration.
Every permit issued shall become invalid unless the work authorized by such permit is commenced within 180 days after its issuance, or if the work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after the time the work is commenced. The building official is authorized to grant, in writing, one or more extensions of time, for periods not more than 180 days each. The extension shall be requested in writing and justifiable cause demonstrated.

R105.8 Responsibility.
It shall be the duty of every person who performs work for the installation or repair of building, structure, electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing systems, for which this code is applicable, to comply with this code.

talked with contractor office. they said they would call back as to if they where going to proceed with the work or not. owner of building had a hold on the project was the understanding that i recieved and did not get a return call to confirm.

Recieved phone call from Ken Hall about plan review report. He offered infromation about the history of the building. He claims They have had problems with the water infiltration since day one, he stated they have conducted several projects to patch the leaks in the rubber membrain, he also said he realized there was more leaks and is still making efforts to repair them. He was calling about the disagreement of the extent of the damages. He believes the damages are isolated and does not feel it is neccissary to remove all the sheet rock from the cieling. I explained I don't feel comfortable with that and am adimate about removing all the sheet rock to examain the full extent of damages. I directed him to George Slain with any further questions.(Oct 30, 2007 @ 9:15a.m.)
