New plan sheet M1.0 submitted having smoke/fire dampers originallu indicated on mechanical plans deleted from scope of work. The wall between the office and lab area is not a rated wall and opening protection is not required by code. I checked with architect Justin Touchstone to verify his intent to remove the SF dampers. He confirmed and I approved the new plan Sheet M1.0. A copy given to contractor and a copy of new sheet to records.

Fire inspector had failed the final inspection until an alarm permit was aquired and the S/F dampers connected to existing FACP panel OR the S/F dampers were removed from plan and approved by plan review.

A fire alarm permit will be necessary to interconnect the new smoke detectors at the two FSD's to the FACP or provide an approved building plan modification for deletion of the dampers, need to remove the manual flush bolts at the lathe room inactive door leaf, also the fire sprinkler permit needs to be finaled prior to life safety.
