This permit is for the remodel and repair of the basement apartment of an existing 4-plex verified by CAA08-00019 by Josh Johnson and DRH07-00549 by Julie Archambeault. The work will include new firring and drywall on the interior side of the conncrete basement walls, a new doorway in the center bearing wall and framing to establish a new study area. The repair must include the placement of the lower portion of an approved 1-hour floor ceiling assembly on the bottom of the floor framing and 1-hour construction for the supporting elements for this floor along with the wall at the hallway exit hallway. Separate electrical, plumbing and mechanical permits are required. Smoke alarms will be installed in compliance with R313 if the IRC in lew of istalling an alarm system per the IFC and IBC.
