Life safety passed

I called Toby Norton, ###-####x338 re status of outstanding work; TOC now at 60 days. Not available, left voice mail to call me with update on progress to date.

Site visit performed by S. Rogers. Acceptable for TOC. Maglocks on doors were approved by Mark Senteno, Asst. FM, to not have motion detection release, however, the required manual push button release does not maintain the doors unlocked for the required minimum 30 seconds (Ref IFC 1008.1.3.4 item 3). It relocks immediately upon release of the push button. For Temp Occy approval, the mag lock circuit was electrically bypassed (dedicated circuit breaker tripped, within the locked electrical panel). The P&R contact, Toby, indicated Parks will manually lock and unlock the doors each day, as they currently do at many other facilities, until they get the required timer installed and field approved by PDS/Fire. All other Fire/Life Safety items were satisfactory. SLR.

I left two messages and received no responce. There was no access to the restrooms.

Pending letter from Applicant waiving door sensor requirements. SRZ

Telephoned owner/applicant regarding resubmittal items and /or signed written approval from Fire Marshal. Faxed resubmittal items to appllicant.

The site is actually zoned R-1C not A-1. In the R-1C zone parks require a conditional use permit prior to construction. In speaking with Cody Riddle, we will process a conditional use permit modification at staff level for this application. I spoke with Toby Norton at Parks. He will get the modification application in while we keep the plans routing.
