1. Boise City interpretation to the Ventilation requirements for nail salons per IMC Table 403.3, footnote b, states that there shall be no recirculation of air in the space. The intent of the IMC is that the exhaust system shall be at point of use. Please revise plans to show the exhaust system to manicure station. Diffuser at ceiling above does not meet intent of code.
2. Please show on plans revised ventilation calculations and make up air design.
3. Provide section view on plans of exhaust system at manicure station.
4. Please revise notes 10 and 13 sheet M2.1. State the fresh air shall be installed downstream of smoke detector. This is a common problem in the field. The contractor does not allow enough return duct plenum for this to be done correctly. Please show on detail sheet M5.1 the correct location of fresh air and smoke detector. Please note the smoke detectors are not required by code.
