Lacking fire sprinkler coverage at the stairway area between the upper and lower levels-sprinkler head is missing or has been obstructed by the drop ceiling. See item number 8 under general requirements listed on the permit notes regarding fire sprinklers. Notified the tenant that any modifications necessary must be performed by a licensed fire sprinkler contractor with a project related fire permit.

Special site visit by S.Rogers. Sufficient ceiling tiles have been removed for adequate coverage of the bulk sprinkler piping feeding the basement, by the sidewall head above the suspended ceiling level. A sprinkler permit application was received this afternoon; not reviewed. Approval was granted for temp occy without issued paper work, other than a notation on the permit card, per agreement by D. Hanneman and B Chatterton. For final approval, the two painted heads within the tenant space are to be replaced and all ceiling tiles over the stairs permanently removed or an additional sprinkler head extended to protect below the suspended ceiling, and final inspection approval by Fire of the sprinkler permit and building permit and final signoff by Building inspector.
