Tom, building inspector, and I spoke to Herd about fire blocking and fire sprinkler requirements at the two fireplace locations and the columns. Also the the entire south third of the building has been covered with out the sprinkler piping having been inspected. I notified Herd of IFC requirements but stated that for this one specific happening I would not require the ceiling to be removed but the insulation would be required to be removed from over the piping for an inspection. The insulation will then need to be reinstalled for a secondary inspection. Any areas that I deam accessible will have the ceilings removed for sprinkler piping inspection. I notified Scott of the situation.

Talked with Steve Call concerning engineering issues and his discussion with Mr. Cox. A meeting has been set up for 9/24/09 at 10 am in Mr. Calls office to review engineering items. I am e-mailing a copy of the plan review response I received to Steve Call to make sure we both had the same information.
We discussed a separate foundation permit possibility and it was determined additional design information was needed. Steve will call Mr. Cox to review foundation data in hope of have plan changes for foundation for Monday's meeting.

Called Mr. Call to discuss remaining structural considerations to do with the foundation. Mr. Tamura had called to see if permits could be issued. Mr. Call said he had talked with Mr. Cox yesterday and that a meeting had been set up for Monday, 9/24/09, at 10 am at Mr. Call's office to review the structural items.
There are some foundation issues that need resloved before Mr. Call would okay the foundation design for permit. Mr. Call will call Mr. Cox and discuss the foundation issue to provide time for structural modification design data to be brought to the Monday meeting to see if the foundation can be approved.

I told him I would discuss the matter with Jason Blais and Mr. Call and get back with him.
