Regarding notification: Had a conversation with JD of Hamilton. He wanted to know if notification would be required in the new lab/nacropsy area being built. I let him know that based on the information he gave me regarding the room use (no public access), and based on the case history, that audibility requirements would need to be met, but not visual. I told him as long as the minimum dB requirements of 2007 NFPA 72 were met in the room from the existing devices, that no new devices would be required. I stated, however, that if the audibility requirements were not met, then a notification device would be required and a separate permit obtained.
