Spoke with David Nielsen about the Fire Separation distance issue with the placement of his house and informed him of the possibility of him having to build a 1-hour Fire rated exterior walls depending on how his foundation contractor lays out his walls. The 5'-0" is measured from the exterior finish of the wall not the Foundation wall. SRZ
