(ELITE DOG GROOMING) **12-23-2009 PLAN MODIFICATION - TO PROVIDE A NEW FULLY ACCESSIBLE RAMP WITH LANDINGS AND HANRAILS COMPLYING WITH THE 2006 IBC AND THE ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003** SRZ. Remodel to legally convert an existing residential dwelling building into a commercial use as a dog grooming business. Work to include: Alterations and addition of a new handrail at the existing entry ramp, enlarging the main exterior egress door opening with a new 3068 solid core door, alterations to the existing restroom to make fully accessible per the ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003, enlarge a hallway opening to allow a minimum of 32" clear for accessible route requirements, and modify all existing door hardware per chapters 10 and 11 of the 2006 IBC. I called Ken Reed the Architect and suggested he contact ACHD becuse of the change of use for this building. I let him know they require their own submittals and fees. I re-inforced we can not issue the building permit until ACHD has approved and signed off. I also let him know Planning and Plumbing approval will be needed and possibly a plumbing plan will be required. **SRZ**
