Phone call from Troy Cobbley, fire inspector, concerning operation of exit door hardware. Due to high security, there is a sally port between main exit doors. Doors have mag locks on threat side and have door operation from egress side interconnected with door operation / security such that the only one door can be open at a time. In an emergency situation were the is a loss of power or an alarm goes off the doors are fell safe and unlock. Visited with Troy Cobbley after talking about the security issues with Jason Blais, Building Official. The extra security is allowed with the fail safe features.

Talked to Rick Lavelle at Reprise Designs and requested a complete certificate of value and contractors declaration to be E-Mailed to me so I could insert them into the plans. I also discused with Rick the requirement for a zoning certificate. He said that Cornell Larson was taking care of the Zoning certificate for the minor exterior alterations. Cornell is also submitting a separate BLD for the exterior work with the exception of the store front alterations. I discussed the Zoning certificate with Damon at Larson and they were going to try to include the store front alterations with the Zoning Certificate application that they have already turned in. 10-6-09 CDM
