Upon site inspection, the existing hall device does not provide adequate coverage for the room size in question. It was explained to the contractor that any modifications to the fire alarm system would require a fire alarm permit.

All items are ok except the fume room does not have an audio/visual device. One needs to be added, utilizing the permit process or periferial effects need to be verified as allowed per NFPA 72. There is a soffit blocking the adjacent a/v .
