NO occupancy (temporary or permanent) allowed until an Upgrade Agreement is signed and approved on file and applications for building permits for other tenants within the building (Tattoo Parlor and Church) have been submitted. To remodel an existing 8,622 square foot tenant space within an existing 20,500 square foot building. This tenant space is being converted from a B Occupancy to an M Occupancy. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls. Selective interior nonstructural demolition is also covered under this permit. 4/5/12 Emailed architect for status - a fire has occurred in the building resulting in a portion being demolished.
11/29/13 Reference permit BLD13-02639 where the building is approved for retail and is less than 12,000 sq. ft. complying with fire area provisions. When this permit is finaled, the Upgrade Agreement will likely be voided (no longer required) and a Notice of Compliance can then be recorded on the property.
6/13/14 Sprinkler requirements outlined in the upgrade agreement no longer required due to the building area being reduced and the uses within the building being changed to retail. Copy of recorded Notice of compliance attached to this case.
