This project is for the placement of a new fully engineered steel spiral staircase from an upper level balcony to the ground level at the rear of an existing single family dwelling. As this project is in the hillside overlay area the foundation for the stair is engineered and a letter from the applicant's geotechnical engineer indicating that the footing sub-grade is acceptable must be approved by Public Works prior to scheduling a footing inspection.
