"Lennox" Permit for tenant improvements to an existing 10,000 sq. ft. tenant space with work to include the removal of all of the interior non-bearing partition walls with the exception of the bathrrom walls, the construction of new interior partition walls, reconfiguration of the HVAC ducting, new lighting and suspended ceiling, drinking fountains, service sink and the construction of a new exterior concrete ramp with rails per the approved plans, plan review report and any notations. This is a fully sprinklered building; any alterations to the sprinkler system will require a separate permit and shall comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the fire department. The conditions of this permit DO NOT include any approval for High Piled Storage. Any future High Piled storage shall be in accordance with IFC chapter 23; and permitted by the Boise Fire Department. *CDM/SJA*

I found the the existing fire sprinkler system had been rendered inoperative in the north end of the building. I contacted Mark Sentenno and Gordan Goldsmith with the fire dept and let them know the situation. On site I spoke to the general contractor about the situation and he contacted the fire sprinkler contractor who was able to put the entire sprinkler system back in service within acouple of hours.
