Plan modification engineering calcs had shown an increase in mechanical anchor depth and anchor plate size for Shlf 'A3'. After review with the engineer and new submittal calcs, the embed depth and base plate anchor were not being changed from the orignal approved plans. The only change was total load application. Original engineering loads based on pounds per cubic foot. Resubmittals changed the load to a maximum value per shelf.
New load design engineering calcs and resubmitted sheets indicate same details.

Told him I needed a plan showing the location of the modified shelving units and verification the correct plates had been installed. Alen said he woulod follow up with architect and engineer to get needed information.

Talked with Elisha Stanard, Architect project director, concerning resubmittals for engineering calcs. New sheet for Shelf A3 shows a required greater depth of embedment for the mechanical anchor into the floor and a larger base plate for the rack legs. Elisha said she would contact the design engineer and have him call me direct.

Talked with Bob Steckler, Ambrose Engineering, Cedarburg, Wisconsin concerning the engineering calc resubmittals for plan mod and the new plan sheet SA1.2, Calcs indicate greater mechanical anchor embed and larger base plate but detais on plan sheet do not show any changes. Bob will review the plans and the engineering and call me back.
