(FIVE GUYS BURGER AND FRIES - BODO BUILDING #4 - 1ST STORY) (6-13-11 PLAN MODIFICATION TO CHANGE THE ROUTING AND SHAFT SYSTEM FOR THE GREASE DUCT. INSTEAD OF PENETRATING A 2-HR FIRE WALL, THE GREASE DUCT WILL BE KEPT INSIDE THE BUILDING UNTIL IT PENETRATES THE ROOF. IN LIEU OF USING A FACTORY-BUILT GREASE DUCT ASSEMBLY THAT INCORPORATES INTEGRAL ENCLOSURE MATERIALS, A FIELD-APPLIED 2 LAYER DUCT WRAP SYSTEM WILL BE INSTALLED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE GREASE DUCT. FOR MUCH OF ITS LENGTH, THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY WILL BE ENCLOSED WITHIN A 1-HR SHAFT. LISTING INFORMATION FOR THE 2 LAYER DUCT WRAP SYSTEM AND FOR THE 1-HR SHAFT SHALL BE PROVIDED TO THE STRUCTURAL INSPECTOR. THE 2 LAYER DUCT WRAP SYSTEM IS REQUIRED TO REDUCE CLEARANCES AND THE 1-HR SHAFT IS REQUIRED TO AVOID A THROUGH PENETRATION FIRE STOP SYSTEM.) Fire sprinklers used for building area increase and for fire area. To convert an existing 2,600 square foot tenant space into a restaurant. Work is to include 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, suspended acoustical ceilings, 2 grease hoods, a 2-hr grease duct that penetrates a 2 hour fire wall, kitchen equipment, and interior finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
