A conference was held between Jason Blais, Jim Storey, and myself to evaluate Scott Soule's Final Structural Letter (Attached to this case) we will accept it with the understanding that Scott Soule's instructions of continual maintenance will be followed through with. If we come to find that maintenance is not be done and the issues begin to reappear we will reevaluate this decision and possibly pull the Certificate of Occupancy. TLW

CM Company has indicated in an email beam repairs should be started within a couple of weeks. They have been instructed to proceed by Parklane Management and are in process of ordering the steel. Design submittal/details from the structural engineer will be submitted to the City within the next couple of days.

On site meeting. Attending were city staff Jason Blais, Tim Woodard, Bob Archibald, and Jim Storey meeting Doug Bolen (Parklane Management), Scott Soule (structural engineer). This meeting was for progress/repair updates and to meet the structural engineer annual inspection requirement. Structural engineer will be providing an annual inspection memo of progress and no imminent hazard status to the City. Doug Bolen will be providing a document to the City outlining the proposed repairs and timeline to complete. Structural engineer has indicated he is making frequent trips to the site for investigation, evaluation and inspection of items under repair. As more concealed areas are uncovered, the structure is evaluated for adequacy or needed repairs. A Plan Modification application, updated plans/details and structural calculations for repair work not included on previously approved plans need to be provided at once.

Talked with Scott Soule of Core Engineering. He is actively working on the evaluation of structural issues in this building. He reiterated there is no imminent danger but definitely issues needing repair or reinforcement. Scott is on track to provide the City with a final report/proposal on structural fixes to this building by the end of August 2011.
