I spoke with the owner Mr. Olson in response to his complaint to the Mayor's Office. We discussed the one week routing delay that occurred, his concern over the requirement to install drinking fountains and the fees which were over $4000 ($3000 were sewer connection fees). I addressed the routing error with the staff involved and assigned the building official to write legislation/or a new rule for approval by the State of Idaho Building Code Board to modify the drinking fountain requirements in code.
