(PETROGLYPH ENERGY - STAIRWAY ENCLOSURE ALTERATION) The fire sprinkler system is used to allow an occupied floor more than 55’ above grade. To alter a 2-hr stairway enclosure on the 5th story of an existing building. The stairway enclosure is 5 stories tall and is a required means of egress from the Petroglyph Energy tenant space. The landing within the stairway enclosure on the 5th story will be made smaller and one of the two existing exit doors in the stairway enclosure will be removed. Work is to include 2-hr fire-resistance-rated walls and 2-hr fire-resistant joint systems installed between the new walls and the existing 2-hr fire-resistance-rated floor and roof. One existing exit door in the stairway enclosure on the 5th story will be maintained without alteration. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to be maintained in compliance with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
