(JACKSONS STORE #123 - REMODEL AND BACKROOM ADDITION) (DRH12-00034) To construct a 311 square foot addition to an existing convenience store. The front canopy will be cut back by about 382 square feet. After the addition, this building will have a total floor are of about 2,874 square feet (308 square feet remaining canopy, 311 square feet addition, and 2,255 square feet existing interior area). Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, new walk-in coolers, a walk-in freezer, a suspended acoustical ceiling, a new roof covering with R-20 minimum continuous insulation, and a new restroom accessible to the disabled. The new restroom replaces an existing non-accessible restroom. Existing high masonry walls that extend above the roof and were formerly used for sign panels will be demolished. Work related to the building addition includes concrete footings, masonry foundations, a concrete slab on grade, masonry walls with a parapet at the property line, wood ledgers, wood roof joists, wood roof deck, and a single ply roof membrane with R-20 minimum continuous insulation. The insulation will be shaped to insure a 2% slope for roof drainage. Special inspection is required for epoxy anchors and masonry. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
