File sizes over 500 KB are really slow to open and to maneuver in. It doesn't seem to be just the file size, though. Some files that are larger than others seem to respond better than the smaller files. I have discussed this issue with our IT people but they don't seem to have an answer. They plan to upgrade my computer next month and expect that will help. The sheets that are particularly sluggish are A2.4, A2.3, F2.2, and F2.1. I tried to make the files smaller but didn't have any success.

Sheets that don't have adequate stamp area in the right corner are Sheets A2.3, A2.4, and F2.2. Since these are identified as "for reference only" I won't reject the submittal again. Please make sure that future permit submittals follow all ePlanReview submittal standards. Please do what ever you can do to make sure that all file sizes are as small as possible while still being complete and legible. Perhaps there is something about layers in Autocad that make the files so big when they are converted to PDF? Perhaps it is the scanner settings that make the files for scanned drawings so big?

I will accept you permit application this time even though I know how aggravating it will be to deal with those sluggish files.

Please make the following changes: (1) Reduce the file size of each of your drawings. Adjust the scanner settings or PDF settings so that the file size is as small as possible while still being complete. The file size should be 500 KB or less (2) For your file name, use the same sheet number and name as is listed in the sheet index. (3) Orient all drawings sheets so that they are horizontal. (4) Make sure that when the drawings are printed that they will be dark and clear enough to be legible. (5) Make sure that the required clear space in the bottom right corner is provided on all sheets per submission standards. This area is needed for the City approval stamp.
