Peterson Toyota Lexus - New Lube Shop and Service Bay Expansion - To construct a 6,280 square foot, one story, service bay addition on the west side of the existing auto dealership; and to construct a 4,150 sq. ft., one story with 2,110 sq. ft. basement lube shop addition. The service bay is on the west side of the existing building and the lube shop is on the south side of the existing building. The additions are constructed of masonry exterior walls and steel structural roof system. This permit also includes related site improvements. This building is fully fire sprinkled. Lube Bay and Car Wash life safety complete. The fire door between the Lube Bay and the existing shop area shall remain locked until door has been tested and passed. As of now there are no "links" for activation installed on both sides of the wall at the roof deck as required in NFPA 80.

todays inspection was for the Lube Bay and the Service Shop expansion. The life safety will be complete in the Lube Bay when an additional fire extinguisher is provided in the pit and the car wash and the fire door linkages have been installed and tested. The Service Shop life safety needs the fire doors addressed and exit signs, emergency lights and exit discharge lighting provided. This is based on the occupant load exceeding 29 people. See IFC table 1021.2, and 1006.1.

The Lexus drive through is complete as well and can be used.

On site to check on job progress. Noted that lube center is erected and shop expansion is nearly 3/4 erected. Also noted that no inspections were scheduled. Did note that all work has been inspected by special inspection. Noted to contractor that he is still required to schedule inspections with the building dept. While on site walk through lube expansion and observed grout placement on shop expansion from 12ft to 16ft. elevation. Also reviewed all special inspection reports to date.
