(INTERFAITH SANCTUARY HOUSING SERVICES - Phased Const.) Records indicate this building is fully sprinklered with NFPA 13 system for an "R1" occupancy use group based on Ch. 9, 2006 IBC and a manual fire alarm system per NFPA 72. This phase of construction involves select interior demolition of non-bearing walls and select interior doors; completing or creating 1-hour fire partitions between sleeping units by use of U.L. Design System U305; installation of accessible transfer shower in existing unisex restroom and an accessible roll-in type shower in conjunction with two regular showers within the existing Men's restroom area; add ceiling access door panel in Men's restroom area; construct new fire partitions to create office 116, and sleeping unit rooms 117, 118 & 119; a new alcoved access/egress door to room 110; new walls and doors to create a utility room off of room 109 for water heater and new floor sink and to separate room 109 from the common 1-hour fire rated corridor exit egress system that serves rooms 105 & 109. The new corridor door is required to be a 20 minute listed & labeled, self-closing, fire / smoke door / frame assembly; all as indicated on plans and in attached plan review comments / conditions of all reviewing agencies as part of the approved plans, requiring code compliance. The upgrade agreement is attached to BLD08-02236. Separate Fire Permits will be required to modify the existing building fire protection systems; as regulated by the Fire Department. drs/srz

If proposed financing is approved per the letter funds would be avaialble to complete all remaining items of the upgrade agreement and complete new application and plans would be provided per discussion with Bob Archibald. Discussion with Bob Archibald (PDS Special Projects & Structural Inspection Supervisor )and Jason Blais (Building Official & Building Plan Review Supervisor), concerning architects response was unacceptable. I am to fail review and ask for resubmittal plans.
