A temporary occupancy was given with Scott Arellano's permission until the fire alarm aspect of the project has been addressed. A permit needs to be pulled to tie in one duct smoke detector to the existing fire alarm system. The second duct smoke detector either needs to be connected as well or removed since it appears to meet the exception of the mechanical code for supplying air within a single compartment.

I went over life safety requirements with the builder. Specifically the exit sign placement and the apparent need for a fire alarm permit due to the Mechanical drawings indicating two new duct smoke detectors on RTU-1 abd RTU-2.
