Additonal information is needed on the submitted plan which demonstrates the facility complies as an H-2 occupancy. Routed back to IBC plan reviewer for communication with permit applicant regarding the necessary information. Due to the change to a Hazardous occupancy classification; a registered design professional is required to perform the necessary building analysis and to confirm building and fire code compliance with the tenants proposed business operation as the Hazardous occupancy. Compliance with appliable provisions of the IBC and IFC shall be shown on the submitted plans.

The Fire Dept. (Scott Arellano) has reviewed the submitted storage and gas list. He has indicated that the allowable quantities for much of the gas you store is exceeded. The next step to making this building comply with what you want to store within it is to work with an architect to reclassify the building to meet H2 and H3 requirements or reduce the gas stored on site and separate into multiple containment areas. Utilizing either of these options will take involving an Idaho Licensed Architect and having plans submitted for review. If you have additional questions in regards to the gas storage I would recommend discussing them with Scott Arellano; if you have questions in regards to what is required to submit a Tenant Improvement for review please contact me to discuss.

Resubmit plans to Tim Woodard indicating gas type, quantity and storage arrangement. Resubmit plans showing the actual wall layout (two additional rooms in warhouse). Provide single action hardware on the warehouse exit doors (see IFC 1008.1.9.1). Provide fire extinguishers as discussed. Provide annual inspection for the fire sprinkler system. Repair the fire alarm system and provide a dedicated electrical circuit (see IFC 107.5). Repair the exit signs. Provide knox key box for fire dept access (contact boise fire ###-####). Provide sticker at the main exit "Door to remain unlocked when building is occupied". Contact the boise city fire dept. for operational permit (###-####). Also the building is only partialy sprinklered. The warehouse and outside canopy has sprinkler protection but the office area does not. It appears fire rated doors are installed between the two.
