(NAPA AUTO PARTS) This building does NOT have a fire sprinkler system. To remodel an existing 7,946 square foot building for a new auto parts store. Demolition work includes removing overhead doors, interior nonbearing walls, and an exterior fence. Work is to include new storefront windows in the former overhead door openings, a new double leaf entry door, new furring and insulation at exterior walls, new lighting, new HVAC systems, added roof insulation, and interior finishes. The 2 existing restrooms will be demolished and 2 new restrooms accessible to the disabled will be constructed. A separate racking permit is required for racks over 8 feet tall. Alot of time was spent doing the resubmittal review. The architect did not give the revise drawings the same file name as the drawing it was intended to replace. A long hard slog. In addition, the code notes added by the Architect were too small to read and some contained gibberish. Had to "red line" all code notes on the drawings.
