I have completed the plan review for BLD13-01573. I met with Jim Wylie this afternoon to discuss the pit shown on the plans. Jim indicated to me that the pit would not be permitted. Please contact him in regards to all flood plain requirements.

If the pit was allowed you would need to submit a design for the walls of the pit. The design and calculations would need to show the surcharge from the vehicles accounted into the design. You would also need to provide the design for guard/rails or fall protection required due to the change in elevation of the floor.

Please show the finished floor elevation on the plans.

Please let me know how you wish to proceed with the pit.
