**(Basement Apartments A & B)** Application for inspection to determine requirements for issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for a 1800 sq ft existing residential tenant. This building was built in 1952 as a 4 plex, 2 units upstairs and 2 units in the basement. In 1966 The Association of Idaho Cities renovated the building into office space. The permit does not indicate if the basement apartments were part of the renovation to an office occupancy as the permit states building converted for new occupancy. We will allow and occupancy evaluation to be submitted on the apartments but we must be allowed access to inspect the apartments. We will be checking to ensure that code compliant egress windows are installed in the sleeping rooms, smoke detectors are installed carbon monoxide detectors installed if there is gas to the building and that the 1st floor and the basement are separated. NO NEW WORK IS AUTHORIZED UNDER THIS PERMIT. There will be no change to the occupancy. **AJS**
