To remodel an approximately 1,400 square foot area of an existing 3,955 square foot 1st story of an existing child care facility. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior doors, and interior finishes. Exit signs and emergency lighting are required for rooms used for child care having a floor area more than 350 square feet. The 854 square foot 2nd story is NOT approved for child care. A total of 61 children are allowed by the Conditional Use approved by the Planning and Zoning Division. The proposed work does not increase the occupant load. Rooms where the children are 2.5 years of age or younger shall have an egress door opening directly to the outside. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
