With homeowner ablout creating a bedroom over the garage. IRC 302.5.1 sleepling rooms cannot have openings into garage. There will need to be changes made in order to have a bedroom. relocat exterior door / enclose stairway and add landing at bottom with garage mandoor and exterior door to that area creating a hallway with a door from the bedroom to same.
