(LA NEIGE BRIDAL SHOP - SUITE 104) (4-18-14 PLAN MODIFICATION TO EXPAND THE MEZZANINE BY AN ADDITIONAL 91 SQUARE FEET. THE MEZZANINE WILL REMAIN OPEN TO THE ROOM BELOW. THE EXISTING GUARD WILL BE MOVED TO THE EDGE OF THE EXPANSION AREA.) Fire sprinkler system substitutes for 1-hr fire-resistance-rated construction. To remodel an existing tenant space for a new retail sales tenant. The mezzanine will be enlarged by 194 square feet total by infilling a 103 square foot floor opening and by expanding the mezzanine floor area by 91 square feet at another location. The total floor area of this tenant space, including the mezzanine floor infill and mezzanine floor expansion, will be 2,112 square feet (1,630 square feet at grade and 482 square feet on the mezzanine). The 79 square foot interstitial space having a low ceiling height and having access from the mezzanine is not considered to be mezzanine floor area. Work is to include a mezzanine floor infill and a mezzanine floor expansion (new floor joists, new joist hangers, and new floor sheathing), a relocated mezzanine guard, new interior wall, and a new interior door. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
