(FIVE MILE SHOPPING CENTER - EXTERIOR FINISH AND WALKWAY REMODEL) (6-23-14 PLAN MODIFICATION TO EXPAND THE ROOF OVERBUILD ABOVE THE WALKWAY AT THE EAST BUILDING.) Fire sprinklers are used for building area increase. To remodel the exterior wall finish and covered walkways of an existing multi-tenant retail sales building. Work it to include constructing new roof structures over the top of the existing walkway structures in five locations, including a pad building. New exterior finishes will be installed including 3-coat stucco, new stone veneer, an Exterior Insulation and Finish System, metal parapet caps, and paint. A 1-hr exterior wall will be constructed in line with an existing 2-hr fire wall. Single ply roofing membranes will be installed at new flat roofs. Standing seam metal roof coverings will be installed at new sloped roofs. Drainage from new roof areas will be directed to existing roofs where it will drain over the existing roof edge, to existing gutters, or to existing roof drains. All existing fire walls, including the fire wall extensions through the concealed spaces of the walkways, are required to be maintained. Special Inspection is required for welding and epoxy anchors. The designs for the girder trusses and for a new awning are deferred submittal items. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, with the Structural design, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department including fire sprinkler protection within concealed combustible spaces. This permit does NOT establish a Certificate of Occupancy for any tenant. The building area is not increasing. There are no alterations to the landscaping or site. **CJW**
