Derek spoke about meeting the requirements of NFPA 13 for filling a space entirely with non-combustible insulation for one area and sectioning off another area to meet the less than 160 cubic foot rule/exception. I agreed to both as long as they meet code.

Spoke with Derick Cooper who is the General Contractor for this project. Derick called to ask for help to figure out what he is supposed to do now that the project is sealed up and the City is now telling him he needs to fire sprinker combustible spaces in the facade. Derick states that nobody from the City told him nor indicated on approved plans he would need to add fire sprinkler protection in these areas so he didn't do it. I informed Derick of some options and he will discuss with his architect.
