(BOISE TECH CAFE' - 2ND STORY) Fire sprinkler system used for story increase. To remodel the 2nd story of a new 3 story building for a 1,890 square foot restaurant and commercial kitchen. This permit is intended to establish a Certificate of Occupancy for the entire 3,902 square foot 2nd story which includes the restaurant, commercial kitchen, restrooms, and offices. The occupant load of the restaurant is limited to 58 based on the available ventilation. The restrooms were constructed under the shell permit (BLD14-00819) and are required to be accessible to the disabled. The floor between the 2nd and 3rd story, including the balconies and the supporting structure, will be upgraded to be of 1-hr fire-resistance-rated construction. The floor between the 1st and 2nd story will be structurally upgraded to have a live load capacity of 100 pounds per square foot. Other work is to include interior nonbearing walls, millwork, and kitchen equipment. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural engineer’s calculations and design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
