(McDOWELL'S SPECIALTY REPAIR - ENCLOSE FORMER DRIVE-THROUGH) This building does NOT have a fire sprinkler system. To complete Phase I of a multi-phase remodel to an existing 3,224 square foot building and to establish a Certificate of Occupancy for a furniture repair and upholstery business. The foundation and slab on grade was constructed under permit BLD14-03361. A Temporary Use Permit for 90 days was granted for this tenant under permit BLD14-02865. The floor area of this building will not be increased under this permit although a former 890 square foot drive through canopy will be enclosed but not conditioned. Work is to include a 1-hr fire-resistance-rated fire barrier wall, a 1-hr fire door, new exterior nonbearing infill walls and shear walls, new fixed exterior windows, new operable exterior windows, a new exterior door, and interior finishes. The existing restrooms are required to be maintained accessible to the disabled. This permit does NOT cover Phase II work. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
