(GIRAFFE LAUGH 4 DAYCARE) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To convert an existing 3,254 square foot, one story building to a childcare facility. The number of children allowed by CUP15-00044 is limited to 75 maximum. Smoke detectors are required in rooms used for sleeping. A carbon monoxide detector is required within this building. Children less than 2.5 years of age are allowed to be cared for only within rooms having a door directly to the outside. Work is to include a new exterior door and an exterior concrete landing and sidewalk. The door will be located where a window was formerly located. Cooking operations that create grease laden vapors are not allowed. The multi-user restrooms are required to be maintained accessible to the disabled as required by the 2009 IBC. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. A separate fire alarm permit shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such system. **CJW**

No FIR permit associated with this project at time of inspection, specified in Plan Review notes that a fire alarm permit will be required for project. The fire alarm panel was in alarm at time of inspection, repairs/modifications/additions to current fire alarm system are required, informed POC Lori, phone ###-#### to contact a fire alarm contractor to have system updated/repaired before life fire safety can be completed. Egress discharge area located on west side did not have exterior egress illumination, needs to be corrected before next inspection.
