R-1B zoning and setbacks per planning. 2. Before any footings or load bearing column pads (interior or exterior) are poured, the soils engineer (Dave Cram or Elizabeth Brown at Materials Testing & Inspection) shall inspect and provide written approval (soils engineer only) that the foundation subgrade soil conditions are as indicated in the approved soils report. This report shall approve the native subgrade condition, native soil compaction, structural fill compaction, under drain approval, and foundation drain approval (additional letter may be submitted after foundations are poured but prior to backfill activities). The Building Department will not perform a footing inspection until after the soil engineer’s letter for the footing subgrade has been approved by Boise City Public Works.
