--Fire Protection Note:--
I told Tom Easton at Shilo Automatic Sprinkler, Inc. it was ok to demo the piping in what will be the new lobby area of the existing convention center after I receive a quick permit. However, the existing piping adjoining the new lobby is to be reconnected temporarily to the existing fire protection. This will keep as much of the existing fire protection system in service as possible. I told him I was not necessarily interested in maintaining or verifying the existing pipe size for the temorarily reconnected branch line piping.

I also advised Tom that the doors on each side of the pedestrian walkway is required to be wetted on both sides per IBC. We discussed window sprinklers or a water curtain.

To expand a portion of the existing Boise Centre Convention building by constructing a 2nd story to create a vertical circulation route to a new elevated pedestrian walkway and enclosed elevated concourse that will connect the Boise Centre Convention building to the City Center Plaza building (3,603 square feet total). The floor of the new elevated circulation route will be located about 24 feet above grade, at the perimeter of The Grove. The concourse will be part of the Century Link Arena building. A terrace will also be constructed at the Boise Centre Convention building adjacent to The Grove.
