Description	(USTICK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL – MODULAR CLASSROOM RELOCATION) (CUP16-00039) This modular building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To relocate a 1,200 sq. ft. modular classroom building from Meridian High School (Ada County) to Ustick Elementary School (City of Boise). The finished floor of this building shall be located no more than 30 inches above grade. Work is to include masonry block footing pads, masonry block piers, built-up rim beams added to the existing built-up rim beams, adjustable jack stands, tie plates and tie down straps, helix soil anchors, cement board skirting, crawlspace vents, removal of existing HVAC units and adding (2) new HVAC units, wall infill at old HVAC openings, new select door/door frame, aluminum exterior ramps, aluminum exterior landings at doors, and exterior concrete sidewalks at grade. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. JG

Before life fire safety inspection can be completed the fire alarm issue needs to be resolved. This inspection request cancelled per conversation with Gabe, inspection will be followed up after fire alarm permit is issued, fire alarms are inspected and inspection is passed.

No fire sprinklers, the building has an active fire alarm panel with a wireless communicator installed, appears that the fire alarm work was completed without a permit or inspection, fire extinguishers were not on site at time of inspection, fire extinguishers will be mounted in discussed locations and will be verified at next inspection. A FIR permit needs to be in issued status before final inspection for the fire alarm system to be completed. Life fire safety for this permit BLD16-02323 will not be finaled until fire alarm issue is resolved.
